Scooter rider killed in Roxbury hit-run

ROXBURY — Boston police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a person riding a Vespa scooter.
The victim died following the crash late Sunday night on Tremont Street in the Roxbury neighborhood. Police did not release the victim’s name.
Police believe the vehicle was a dark SUV that is likely missing at least one headlight and has extensive front end damage.
