US Postal announces 3700 branches Nationwide slated for potential closing.
Below is the list of Post Offices in Massachusetts which could be closed.
In Boston the Grove Hall and Uphams corner Post Offices could be affected.
Before any Post Office closes, customers have a few opportunities to weigh in via customer surveys and open to the public community meetings. The 3700 branches across the US which have been identified are part of a study to conclude whether the usage justifies remaining open.
The US Postal Service is introducing “Village Post Offices” which will be kiosk based Post Offices housed in local stores ex: Office Max, Stop & Shop and Mom & Pop retailers who can apply to offer Postal Services at their place of business.
