The Youth Jobs Coalition is a statewide coalition in Massachusetts working for sustainable youth jobs funding and youth leadership. Youth jobs prevent violence, allow youth to provide for their families, and build skills for future success. Youth unemployment also is tied to major social inequalities: health disparities, and wider racial and economic injustice.
The coalition has two parts. Youth Jobs Coalition State/Private advocates about jobs funding and policy at the State House and in the private sector. Youth Jobs Coalition Boston is building a multi-issue platform for youth from Boston, working to show jobs are connected with more issues; it also and works to impact youth jobs funding and policy at the local level.
