Position Description:
Up2Us hosts The Center for Sports-Based Youth Development in Boston. The Center is committed to making the case for sports-based youth development (SBYD) as an effective method for providing kids with the tools necessary to become healthy contributing citizens. As the Research Intern you will be responsible for tracking trends in SBYD and youth development in the news, writing and editing internal and external reports, putting together fact sheets and position statements, compiling training evaluations, and supporting the Center with program evaluation for member organizations.
Qualifications
– At least one year of undergraduate study complete.
– Able to keep reports, articles, etc organized and easily accessible.
– Excellent writing and editing skills; must understand how and when to use a comma.
– Strong internet research skills and standard computer proficiency (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel).
– Belief in the power of sports to help kids.
– Ability to commit at least 10 hours a week for a semester.
This position is in the Up2Us Boston Office, start date is flexible.
