‘Early Morning’ is the directorial debut of award winning Director of Photography Harlan Bosmajian. Harlan has worked as a DP on over 30 feature films and TV including ‘Madmen’ and ‘The Social Network’.
Shooting dates: May 10th, 11th, 12th
Union and Non-Union actors both welcome to audition.
Compensation: $150/day, meals, copy of the film, credit, etc.
Synopsis:
‘Early Morning’ is a short (15min) narrative film the story of a military medic and father, who unexpectedly meets his son’s girlfriend in his Boston home early one morning after she has spent the night. While there seems to be a shared attraction between them, it turns out they have a mutual connection on a far deeper level.
Seeking:
Alia – Female, 20 – Quirky coffee shop waitress and aspiring yoga teacher. She’s just met her boyfriend’s father for the first time and there seems to be an unusual connection between them. She’s intelligent, charismatic, and carries herself with an uncommon maturity.
Margaret – Female, 42 – Margaret is looking forward to her husband’s retirement from the military in several months. However, she has learned a sense of independence over the years because of Frank’s long absences during his tours of duty. She has a close, communicative relationship with their son Johnny (in college) who is visiting them with his girlfriend.
Johnny – Male, 20 – Johnny is a student at University of Vermont studying Environmental Sciences. He’s also a guitar player in a band called the ‘Golden Retrievers’ that plays frequently in his college town of Burlington, Vermont. Johnny has returned home for the day to see his dad before he returns to Afghanistan. He has brought his new girlfriend, Alia, who manages one of the venues his band plays at. He really likes her and is excited about his family meeting her.
