Welcome to “Thangz-2-Do!!”, the monthly e-newsletter providing information of

cultural arts (poetry, theatre, comedy, etc.), as well as several other info to keep

people in the loop that includes a link for daily Black History facts. (http://www.yenoba.com)

and R.I.P. for those that passed away this past month.

Also,Boston’s longest-running open mic gathering commonly known as

VerBaLizAtiOn is back from a summer break. We start off fresh on September 11th

as we welcome spoken word artist Sublime Luv. And the duo of Wazir & Bakari JB

will be featured on September 25th.

Lastly, an event entitled “Angels of Birmingham” will be held on Sunday, September 15th.

It’s a 50-year anniversary commemoration of the16th St.Baptist Church bombing in

BirminghamAlabamathat killed four little girls. The location of the event will be

Hibernian Hall. Please check below for more info on all events.

This free festival, embarking on its 21st year, is considered a Cambridge Institution and

festival is a grand costume parade accompanied by rich rhythmic musicality promoting

all types of cultures. Participants can be seen as revelers masquerading through the

streets in dazzling handmade costumes, dancing to the beat of the Carnival. The festival

is also an opportunity to celebrateCambridge’s diversity, enjoy international foods and

purchase multicultural crafts from around the world.
