Two men attacked, one fatally in Dorchester

According to BPD:

At about 1:08am September 11, 2013 officers responded to a radio call for a person lying on the street, in front of 17 Greenwood Street.

Upon arrival officers observed a male victim outside of 17 Greenwood Street, unresponsive with injuries to his forehead. The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

A short time later at about 1:41am on September 11, 2013 officers from District 3 (Mattapan) responded to a report of a male bleeding on the porch at 54 Greenwood Street, Dorchester. A male witness reported to officers he heard a noise coming from the rear porch of his home and thought someone was breaking in. He further stated he looked out of his window and saw a male on his front porch bleeding. Officers observed a male victim suffering from a stab wounds. The victim, stated he was out drinking celebrating a friend’s birthday and did not know who stabbed him. He was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding both incidents.
