The latest round of crime stats released by the BPD show 2013 was not so different from 2012.
With 30 homicides with a firearm (2 less than this time last year) and 195 non-fatal shootings (up 5% from 185 last year) the level of gun violence has remained fairly consistent.
Firearm related arrests were at 350 (slightly up from 342 last year)
While overall violent crime remained at similar levels to last year the district break down reveals certain shifts, like many more murders in B2 than B3 when compared with last year.
