Boston Museum of Fine Arts Returns Stolen Artifacts To Nigeria

Black Historians, Scholars and other proponents of African Diasporic Culture and the Global African Presence,  have long told us of the hundreds of thousands of artifacts that have been stolen from Africa and are now displayed in some of the most prestigious Art Museums in the world.  The pillaging of Africa and other parts of the world, which continues to this day, has created a black market underground economy in which ancient art, cultural and religious sculptures are removed by hook or by crook and make their way into the private collections of millionaires, family estates of soldiers/explorers who smuggled them directly or museums and art houses across the globe.

Recently, here in Boston’s Museum of Fine Art, 8 pieces were found to be stolen from the nation of Nigeria.
