Blackstonian supports Ayanna Pressley for re-election to Boston City Council

Since her Historic win to become the 1st Black Woman elected as an At-Large Boston City Councilor, Ayanna Pressley has been very busy working on issues of importance to our community. Her work around Women’s and Girl’s issues has been important, working to ensure safe, healthy families free of abuse and neglect. Recently, Councilor Pressley revealed her own personal experience in an effort to shed light on the problem of Sexual Assault on College campuses, which resulted in a recent hearing on the matter. Time and time again, Pressley has shown that she is smart, courageous and committed. It is the opinion of the Blackstonian that Pressley is the strongest new voice to emerge on the Council in over a decade.
