A look at the Urban League Convention event planners

The Urban League has hired Dusty Rhodes and her firm Conventures as the main event planners and consultants for the conference.

The below is from the website page showing her Team of Staff.

We are Conventures

The recipe is simple.  Take a team of highly trained, very talented individuals, combine a client with an adventure of any size and challenge, add equal parts creativity, resourcefulness, planning and logistical skill…and voila!  A unique and successful event or campaign is produced.

But let’s back it up for a second.  At Conventures, the crux of the entire equation is the TEAM.  The people responsible for each genius campaign and spectacular event.  The people who separate Conventures from other agencies, and make it the leading special events company in New England.  Meet our people.  Meet our team.  Together, we are Conventures.

My perception is the PR outcome was substantial and all bases in media got covered so the quality of the work was solid, although I have no personal knowledge of the contract terms, deliverables and guarantees.

Its not unusual for contracts between buyer and contractor to have requirements for diverse minority business vendor participation.

Do NUL or ULEM contracts require this?

    Humm.

Thanks Blackstonian for addressing this issue.
