BPD “Officer Of The Year” Sgt. Guzman Caught Sexting 16 Yr. Old Girl

BPD Sgt. Edwin Guzman

Editor’s note: This case has been going on since November but has been silenced in local media. Sgt. Guzman, sent several messages back and forth with a 16 yr. old girl whom he met when she was age 13.  His messages became suggestive and propositioned the young girl and even sent her a nude photo of himself.  We are hopeful that the BPD will terminate Guzman immediately and alarmed that they have not already done so.

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) — It’s a case you’ve never heard about, until now.

Boston Police Sergeant, Edwin Guzman, is accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a minor.

38-year-old Guzman was charged in November, but the case has remained under the radar for months, frustrating the alleged victim and her family who worry justice will not be served.

Guzman is a decorated officer, who was named VFW Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2012.

He was recognized for his “great work” as he was promoted to sergeant on the Boston Police force in August 2014. It was around this same time last summer that Guzman was allegedly sending sexually explicit Facebook messages to a 16-year-old girl.

The teenager tells FOX Undercover she considered him a family friend and a father-figure until things took a strange turn on Facebook.

Wow! Hard to believe things like this are going on, but it’s also hard to believe how someone is “willing” to take his career, his job title and just the perfect job and flush it down the toilet. I’m not saying it’s not possible for someone just throw his life away like this, but have you seen the social media, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, unique conversation codes teenagers use to communicate (talking and texting) when they don’t want anyone to know? Have you seen how teenagers dance in explicit ways (twerking) ? Have you read how teenagers send sexting and nude pictures freely through Instagram and other communication way or social media? In my opinion, things should seriously be investigated. Sometimes we just believe everything from our children and many of us think “My baby! Impossible!” but truly enough parents are not with their child 24/7 and they don’t have 24/7 supervision when their child are in the computer, watching a movie or talking on the phone. This officer is allegedly accused for sexting a 16 year old girl and we are forgetting other possibilities behave the teenager. Law turns their heads to this officer just because he is the adult here and it’s more probably for the adult to do the approach. What will happen if this story is turned around and it was the teenager sending these pictures? Will she and her family get to apology to this officer and his family for all the shame and tragic situation? Will she and her family will confront justice for making these allegedly accusation? Let’s not forget there’s two side of a story, two sides of a coin.
