BPD Gun Grab Not Consistent With “Street War” Image
Based on my experience we are not seeing a great amount of high-powered weapons used in “street crimes” or recovered in drug busts or random stops.

There is a double standard in our society that somehow only focuses on violence committed by citizens onto citizens and ignores or excuses violence committed by government/state/local officials on citizens.

The NAACP, New England Area Conference (NEAC), respectfully requests that the Massachusetts House of Representatives abstain from voting in the matter of the expulsion of Representative Carlos Henriquez, expected to come before the House today.
Throughout this process, I have found it imperative to separate opinion from fact. Everyone has an opinion, to which each of us is entitled. We are also all capable of seeking facts through effort and critical independent thought. Facts can be proven.
State Rep. Carlos Henriquez granted an interview to Wesley Lowery of the Boston Globe

Accordind to Universal Hub, the Recent Violence in Boston (4 Murders Last Weekend / 206 Shootings Since Boston Marathon) prompted the Japanese consulate in Boston yesterday to issue a warning to avoid these three neighborhoods. The number of gang-related murders so far this year in Boston is significantly higher than in past years, according to a Boston Globe report on Jan. 28, 2014. Consequently, we advise Japanese nationals to avoid areas such as Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan, where violence has occurred. Via CGJ France issued a similar advisory last November. While Foreign governments express concern for the safety of their citizens traveling in the hub, some local residents are asking if the new Walsh administration is doing enough to tackle violence in our city.
