A man was shot and killed yesterday at 6pm yesterday at 502 Norfolk St according to a BPD Report.
At about 6:02pm, on Thursday, September 5, 2013, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for a person shot at 502 Norfolk Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wound. The victim with life threatening injuries was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This makes the total number of shootings in Boston (where people were hit, fatal and non-fatal) at least 124 since the Boston Marathon.
This also marks the 2nd murder and 24th shooting and since the Blackstonian and participants in the ‘Rally For Solutions’ held at city hall presented suggestions and demanded a community meeting with the Mayor and Police Commissioner to address public concerns about policing and public safety. There have been no response from the Mayors office to at least 5 phone calls and numerous emails, tweets and other correspondence.
