Boston Police Awards 3 Officers involved in High-Profile Brutality cases infused with race

The Boston Police department in its latest routine round of awarding officers for “outstanding performance” of their duties during the past year has named among its many recipients 3 officers in particular who were involved in some of the departments most highly publicized and controversial cases, all of which include elements of race and police brutality and use of excessive and/or deadly force.

Black Educators (BEAM) Statement on Teacher Diversity in Boston Public Schools

The diversity of the city of Boston and of the students served by the Boston Public Schools is not reflected in the teachers serving in the schools. More than half the residents of Boston are people of color, and 87% of the student population in Boston Public Schools is students of color. In contrast, 38% of Boston Public Schools teachers are teachers of color.

Blackstonian Out & About Photo: Fruit of Islam (FOI) out in Roxbury

The Nation of Islam (NOI) had the full force out today with the brothers of the Fruit of Islam (FOI) hitting the streets and activating on the mandate put forth by Minister Louis Farrakhan which called the NOI to go further into the streets of the “hoods” across the US.
Here are the brothers of the FOI in full effect at the Roxbury Mall (Warren St. & Martin Luther King Blvd.)
